NeoBeat was developed to provide healthcare providers a rapid, easy-to-use, and accurate way to measure the heart rate of a newborn. Current available methods in low-resource settings include stethoscopes or umbilical pulse palpation, both of which either require a second pair of hands or interruption in care, which can be detrimental for the baby.
NeoBeat takes seconds to put on the baby and rapidly displays the newborn heart rate. With rapid detection of heart rate, clinicians may have a better understanding of the newborn, enabling a timely continuation of care.
